Two of the long-delayed Molloy Environmental Systems 2020 Offaly Hurling Championship finals took place on Saturday, 14th August
St Rynagh’s retained the Senior Hurling title with a 1-19 to 1-13 victory over Kilcormac-Killoughey. The game was played in poor weather conditions, but the Banagher men deserved their victory on the day. Aaron Kenny scored the all-important goal in the second half. Goalkeeper, Conor Clancy, received the Robbins Cup from County Board Chairman, Michael Duignan while midfielder Aidan Treacy received the man of the match award.
Earlier in the day, Shinrone won the Intermediate Hurling Championship title with a 1-14 to 1-12 defeat of Coolderry in St Brendan’s Park, Birr. Shane Sampson accepted the Cup from Michael Duignan.
