Offaly has a great tradition when it comes to Scór and has enjoyed great success in both Scór Na nÓg and Scór Sinsir, winning many Leinster and All-Ireland titles.
For those new to Scór , there is now a great opportunity for children and teenagers to get involved in the cultural aspect of the GAA. There are 8 different disciplines so you have loads to choose from:
1. Rince Foirne (Irish Dancing)
2. Amhranaiocht Aonair (Solo Singing)
3. Aithriseoireacht/Scealaiocht (Recitation/Storytelling)
4. Bailead Ghrupa (Ballad group)
5. Leiriu (novelty act)
6. Ceol Uirlise (Instrumental Music)
7. Rince Seit (Set Dancing)
8. Traith Na gCeist (quiz)
Please note all competitors for Scór Na nÓg must be under 17 years of age as of the 1st January 2022
County Final dates are as follows:
Traith Na gCeist – 11th March in O’Connor Park Tullamore at 8pm
Main competition: 12th March in Tullamore GAA Centre at 5pm
Leinster Semi-final: 26/27th March – venue to be confirmed
Leinster Final: 3rd April – venue to be confirmed
All-Ireland Final – 1st May INEC Killarney
