Offaly GAA is supporting Pat Teehan’s bid to become the next President of the GAA.

Pat has served the Association at all levels for over 30 years and is most deserving of election as Uachtarán Tofa at Congress this Friday night, 17th February.

Should he be successful, Pat would take over as President from Larry McCarthy in 2024.

His track record as a volunteer administrator speaks for itself.

Among Pat’s early roles was Secretary of his home club Coolderry, before joining the County Board executive as Public Relations Officer, a role he fulfilled for 13 years.

He was also Secretary and Chairperson of Offaly Coiste na nÓg, Vice-Chairperson of the County Board and then Chairperson between 2007 and 2012.

He gained further experience as Offaly GAA’s Central Council delegate, was PRO of Leinster Council, then Vice-Chairperson of the provincial body, before serving as Chairperson of Leinster Council for the past three years.

He has also sat on numerous influential committees and work groups in Croke Park and has an in-depth knowledge of all aspects of GAA affairs.

He has always remained a deeply committed follower of Offaly GAA and regularly assists on match-days in O’Connor Park and the Faithful Fields.

Pat is, undoubtedly, equipped to deal with the challenges and opportunities faced by the GAA in the coming years and that is why Offaly GAA is confident he will be successful in the vote on Friday evening.

He is wished well by all his friends and colleagues across the county and further afield.
