Offaly GAA is delighted to host the concluding stages of the Adam Mangan Festival of Football in the coming weeks.
This is the main competition for inter-county Under 15 football teams from all over Ireland. It is held in honour of the late Adam Mangan, a rising sports star from Kilclonfert who tragically passed away in 2015.
Louth and Mayo will contest the Cup final at an Offaly venue in the near future – it has been postponed from tomorrow due to a bereavement.
Meanwhile, the Shield final takes place in Kilclonfert this Sunday, 28th November at 12.30 between Roscommon and Clare.
Offaly U15s will take place in two Plate Finals this Saturday, 27th November. One team will take on Laois at 12 noon in Kilclonfert and another team will face Wicklow at 11.30am in Daingean.
Other counties will also be contesting Plate Finals in different venues across the country over the next two weekends.
Offaly GAA wish to thank the Mangan family for their ongoing support. County Board Chairman Michael Duignan met Adam’s parents Ray and Jannette at Bord na Mona O’Connor Park today and said he was delighted that the ‘Festival of Football’ is taking place again this year, as Covid-19 prevented it from going ahead in 2020.
