Offaly added another All Ireland Title to their array of achievements both on and off the field of play, when Ferbane Ballad Group were crowned All Ireland Scór Champions last weekend.
The All Ireland final of Scor Sinsuir took place last weekend in Castlebar, Co. Mayo. Offaly had 3 representatives Birr in the Rince Foirne. Ferbane in the Ballad group and Traith na gCeist. The standard on the day was of the highest order and everyone in attendance was treated to great days entertainment.
At the end of a long day, Offaly representatives Ferbane were crowned All Ireland champions for 2019 in the Ballad group. This is the 2nd title that this group have won as they previously won the All-Ireland final Scor na nÓg title. The winning team was Niamh Delaney, Varlarie Greer, Sarah Kenny, Zoe Rooney and Avril Spain.
