Hurling action returns to Offaly this week – although unfortunately still behind closed doors.
The future progress of most teams will hinge on the outcome of their second round fixtures, so we can expect plenty of excitement.
To compensate for the absence of supporters, Offaly County Board will show six games live over the weekend – four on Saturday and two on Sunday. This is the maximum that current resources allow. They are available to purchase for €5 each through www.247.tv/gaa
Those who intend to view the games are advised to register well in advance of throw-in, and there is a facility to check the compatibility of your device on www.247.tv/gaa. Also, reliable broadband is required to view the games.
On Saturday, the games on offer to watch are the Senior Hurling Championship ties – Kilcormac/Killoughey v Coolderry & Belmont v Shinrone – and the Senior ‘B’ Hurling Championship games – Drumcullen v Lusmagh – now at 3.30pm and Clara v Clodiagh Gaels – at 5.30pm.
On Sunday, the next two Senior Hurling Championship games will also be available to watch – Birr v Seir Kieran and Ballinamere v St Rynagh’s, and these should attract a big audience online.
