There was a huge attendance of officers from Offaly GAA Clubs at the training workshops organised for Chairpersons, Secretaries, Treasurers and PROs in Tullamore on Thursday evening, 27th February.
The event was organised by Offaly GAA Development Officer, Colm Cummins, in conjunction with the GAA’s National Officer Development Committee.
Chairpersons and Treasurers attended their workshops in the Bridge House Hotel, while Treasurers and PROs were hosted by the Tullamore Court Hotel. Some members of ladies’ football and camogie clubs in the county also participated.
Experienced GAA volunteers facilitated the event which was warmly received by the club representatives who attended. Officers of the Offaly GAA County Board were also present.
The workshops are designed to help club officers in their roles, explaining relevant rules and policies while listening to feedback and questions. It also proved to be an excellent opportunity for club officers to share their own experiences and advice.
Further workshops are planned for later in the year.
