When and where did you first start playing hurling? In Clareen probably around the age of 4 or 5.

Biggest influence on your hurling career:  My parents Paddy and Betty and Eugene Coughlan who coached us throughout all the under-age groups in Clareen.

What sporting event would you most like to attend?  The Monaco Grand Prix

To date what is your favourite moment in sport?  Winning the 2008 u21A championship with Seir Kieran with a panel of just 18 players

What sportsperson would you most like to meet?  Richie McCaw

What is the hardest part of your sporting life?  All the sacrifices you have to make and trying to balance work with inter county hurling.

Toughest player to mark in training?  Niall Wynne, very sticky!

Who is the ‘joker’ on the panel?  Shane Dooley

If you won the lotto what would be the first thing you would buy?!   A share in Newcastle United and try to improve their results!

In ten years time I hope to be: Happy and Healthy after a successful Club and County career and playing a small bit of Junior with the club.

One thing you may not know about me…… Made my senior championship debut with Seir Kieran at the age of 15. The rules on age eligibility were a bit more relaxed back then!!!
