Johnny Dooley has joined the Offaly Senior Hurling management team as a selector and coach. The former Seir Kieran and Offaly player will bring a wealth of experience to the backroom team. Johnny made his senior debut for Offaly against Laois in February 1990 and went on to play 67 league and 35 Championship games, before retiring following defeat by Tipperary in the Championship of 2002. Johnny won 2 All-Ireland Senior medals, 2 All-Ireland minor medals, 1 NHL medal and 3 All-Star Awards. He also won 3 Leinster U21 medals and 2 Leinster Senior & Minor medals. On the club front he won four Offaly senior hurling Championship medals with Seir Kieran.
Johnny previously served as coach and manager of the Westmeath senior hurling team and also managed the Offaly minor hurling side.
