Daingean’s Kevin Kilmurray and Kinnitty’s Ger Coughlan will enter the Offaly GAA Football Hall of Fame at this year’s Awards Night Sponsored by Bridge House Hotel on January 19th 2019.
Joining a long list of illustrious players who have played for the Faithful County, both men have served the County both on and off the playing field of play and were part of the wonderful days for Offaly when All Ireland Titles came back to the Faithful County.
Kevin who lined out for Offaly from 1969 to 1980, winning two All Ireland Titles in 1971 and 1972 and Two All Stars. Kevin also managed Offaly Senior Footballers from 2004 to 2006.
Ger Coughlan started his career with Offaly in 1979 where he went on to play a key part for Offaly during a hugely successful era for the team, and won two All Ireland Medals in 1981 and 1985 and seven Leinster Medals. Ger also managed Minor and U21 County Teams in Offaly as well as a Senior Hurling Selector.
The Awards who were selected by members of the local press, will be honoured in wonderful style for the services to sport in the County. Tickets will be on sale for the event and for further details please contact County PRO Mary Dunne on 086 3997966.
