The Offaly senior hurling and football squads have returned to collective training ahead of the 2021 league and championship. With the season again curtailed due to Covid-19 restrictions, there will be fewer games to look forward to in the coming months. It’s expected that, in the short term at least, the matches will take place behind closed doors.
Here’s a brief look at what’s in store. Some dates have yet to be finalised:
ALLIANZ HURLING LEAGUE DIVISION 2A
Round 1: Meath v Offaly; Sunday 9th May in Pairc Tailtean, Navan
Round 2: Offaly v Kerry; Sunday 16th May in Bord na Mona O’Connor Park, Tullamore
Round 3: Carlow v Offaly; Sunday 23rd May in Netwatch Cullen Park, Carlow
Round 4: Offaly v Down; Sunday 6th June in St Brendan’s Park, Birr
Round 5: Wicklow v Offaly; Sunday 13th June in Aughrim.

Round 1: Wicklow v Offaly; Sunday 16th May in Aughrim
Round 2: Offaly v Limerick; Saturday, 22nd May in Bord na Mona O’Connor Park

Group B: Sligo v Offaly; 3rd/ 4th July
(Winner will progress to semi-final; loser into quarter-final against one of the teams in Group A – Wicklow, Roscommon or Derry)

(Winner will progress to play Kildare in quarter-final. No qualifier for the losing team this year).
