Kinnitty’s Pat Delaney is the latest inductee into the Bridge House Hotel, Offaly Hurling Hall of Fame.  Pat will receive his award at the Awards night in the Bridge House Hotel on January 12th next.

Pat played for Offaly from 1974 until 1989, making his debut in October 1974 when he lined out in the No10 jersey against Antrim in the National Hurling league, he played his final game also against Antrim in the All-Ireland Semi-Final of 1989 this time wearing the familiar No 6 jersey.

In all Pat made a 116 League and Championship appearances during a glittering career which saw him win Two All-Ireland Medals, 6 Leinster Senior Medals an All-Star Award. He was Texaco Hurler of the Year in 1981, while he also won five Offaly Senior Championship medals with Kinnitty, captaining the side to victory in 1983

U21 Hurling: Conor Freeman (Carrig & Riverstown & St Brendan’s)

Minor Hurling: Brian Duignan (Ballinamere/Durrow)

Camogie: Siobhan Flannery (St Rynagh’s)

Referee: Richie Fitzsimons (Birr)

Handball: David Hope (Fahy)
