The final round of group games in the Molloy Environmental Systems Offaly Senior, Senior ‘B’ and Intermediate Hurling Championships take place this weekend. Action also continues in the Junior and Junior ‘B’ grades.
Four matches will be streamed live by Offaly GAA on www.247.tv/gaa – two on Saturday evening and two on Sunday afternoon.
As scoring difference could yet prove significant, all four Senior Hurling games will take place at 5.30pm on Saturday. In Group 1, Kilcormac/Killoughey are on top with two wins out of two, followed by Birr and Coolderry one two points each, with Seir Kieran on zero points. The Birr v Coolderry game, therefore, looks set to decide who will join K/K in the penultimate round.
In Group 2, reigning champions St Rynagh’s also have a 100% record and are guaranteed to reach the semi-final ahead of their final group game with Shinrone, who are bottom of the group after a draw and a defeat. Belmont (on two points) and Ballinamere (on one point) will battle it out in Bord na Mona O’Connor Park and the winner of that tie will be favourites to claim second spot in the group.
