Two long-awaited 2020 Molloy Environmental Systems finals get the go-ahead this Saturday, 14th August – the Senior and Intermediate deciders.
On 12th August, after consultations with the HSE, Offaly GAA postponed the Senior B final between Kinnitty and Drumcullen which was also due to be played on Saturday.
Offaly GAA was set to host the finals late last year, but the GAA authorities postponed all games after county final celebrations, etc., were deemed to have breached Covid-19 guidelines.
So, at long last, some clubs will get a chance to battle for silverware. However, only 500 spectators are allowed at each of the games, so no tickets will be on general sale. They have been distributed evenly to all the competing clubs, who will sell to their members.
The games now are as follows (all on Saturday, 14th August)
4pm – Intermediate Final – Coolderry v Shinrone in St Brendan’s Park, Birr
6pm – Senior Final – Kilcormac-Killoughey v St Rynagh’s in Bord na Móna O’Connor Park, Tullamore
At present, Offaly GAA intend to stream the Senior final live and all information is available through this link: https://page.inplayer.com/offalygaafaithfultv/
